Then Gaia’s mother picked her up, looked at her and held her, with love. Her father held her tight, to be sure it was all true: and when he found it was, sweet tears fell from his eyes.

“What are they majesty?” asked Gust. In fact, winds never cry.

“They are the only tears that are not salty and they are very rare: they are the tears of happiness!”

In less than no time it was time for the family to leave the castle.

When the little fairy went out in her father’s arms a sunbeam kissed her on the face and Gust wanted to greet her by blowing softly at her side.

“This, Gaia, is called wind!” said her father.

The little girl smiled, closed her eyes and seemed to be thinking ‘I know!’

Then she curled up serenely fell asleep.

When they arrived home all together the mother and father, found that small part they had known was somewhere, but they didn’t know where.

Gaia grew happy and smiling, being naughty and crying to be picked up, coloring and spilling baby food, singing and dancing.

And her mother and father knew early on that she, like all the other children, was a great knucklehead!

But then Lilla, the black and white cat, who lived with them, had already noticed, but that is another story.
